I got a cat today. I haven’t had a pet cat in years — not since I was a kid. We had two cats. One we got from the humane society and the other came from a neighbor who’s cats had kittens.
Her name is Bess. I got her from a group here in Indianapolis called ARPO. They take cats and dogs and provide foster homes until they are able to adopt them to good homes.
Bess is afraid of her surroundings. She doesn’t mind me going up to hear and rubbing on her. She has a loud purr, too. Hopefully she’ll venture out on her own once she gets hungry.
