I’ve been back in Indianapolis since Friday night. The vacation in Cancun was very relaxing and worth every cent. I am looking forward to returning this time next year.

I spent the rest of the holiday weekend with old family friends. The Bakers were visiting from Texas for the first time in a few years.

I spent some time with their daughter, Brooke, who is only 17 years old and has a vast knowledge of old and new music. I was impressed!

I also made it to the 500 Festival Parade in downtown. I took my nephew, Jake, and had a very good time.

Vacation Blogging

I’m a dork! I’m on vacation in Cancun, Mexico, and here I am buying Internet time at the resort so I can do e-mail and post to my blog. I do have a good excuse for not being in the water today.

No matter how much sun tan lotion used, I burned my back. I think most of it wore off while in the water for an extended period of time. My back feels okay now; however, it is very red. I hope to be okay in a couple of days, at which time I will return to the water.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. I swam in the ocean for the very first time! The Caribbean Sea has a beautiful turquoise color, which looks absolutely stunning during the day. At night, the water reflects the moon, which has been bright and full the last couple of evenings.

I’ll probably post at least one more entry on here before returning to Indianapolis on Friday.

To Cancun, I Go

I am leaving tomorrow for Cancun, Mexico, with my friends Tony and Jason. We will be staying in the resort area on the beach until Friday. I can’t wait!

After I return, I’ll be attending the 500 Festival Parade in downtown on Saturday and visiting with some old friends of my family, who will in town for the big race.

I’ll have plenty of pictures on the Flickr photostream when I return. Tschau!

Revenge of the Sith

I went with friends to see the 12:01 AM showing of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith at Circle Centre Mall.

Eh ….

Technorati Tags

I’m a dork. I’m now adding subliminal Technorati tags to all new blog entries. This is essentially a way of categorizing articles.

This is accomplished by adding new HTML links to the bottom of all new blog entries.

Cho

Margaret Cho was hilarious last night.

Cho’s currently on her Assassin tour throughout the USA. This show, unlike her previous acts, is more political and less raunchy. Regardless of that fact, she was a lot funnier. I really had a good time, and laughed more during this performance than Jon Stewart’s.

At lunch time, Danny and I went to Monument Circle for lunch. We ate at Giorgio’s for some decent Italian food, and then checked out the Be a Tourist in Your own Hometown Expo.

Lots of booths were setup around the monument from various museums, restaurants, churches, and other location organizations.

Many events like this are held throughout the Summer. Can’t wait for the Strawberry Festival! Yum!

Idaho

Tonight I’ve been watching My Own Private Idaho. It’s been many years since I’ve seen this film, and I completely forgot how much I like it.

On another topic, I’ll be seeing Margaret Cho tomorrow night at the Murat. Looking forward to it. I hope it is better than her last show, which wasn’t all that good, in my opinion.

Retroactive Posts From Kuro5hin

I’ve been spending the past two hours posting all of my diary entries from Kuro5hin.

The vast majority of them were posted in April 2003 while I was working at Cummins in Columbus, Indiana. They come from a period in my life where I was sleeping rather well and had little stress, as I had probably the easiest job I have ever had.

I’m heading out for dinner with a friend, but I will finish posting them when I get home later.

Please enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed re-reading them.

Being A Good Citizen

On our way to lunch at the Greek Islands, my buddy Greg and I saw two guys come out of the alley on Maryland Street with a bunch of clothes, get in to a junky car, and speed off down the street. We immediately realized they were thieves because they were running and didn’t have a shopping bag.

Greg called the police and told them what we witnessed, including the license plate number. Turns out that one of the stores in the nearby mall had already called and reported the incident. I hope the police catch those guys.

Oh, lunch was delicious, by the way.

Jon Stewart and My Nose

Saw Jon Stewart last night with friends. Overall, I had a good time and I will certainly try to see him the next time he passes through Indianapolis.

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I should because I’ve been a little sick for the past several days. My nose wouldn’t stop running for the entire show, so I was constantly having to wipe it.

I’m going with friends to see Jon Stewart Saturday night at the Murat. Should be a great show.

I’ve been thinking about replacing my Sony Ericsson T637 with another phone, preferrably one with a better camera.

I’m still enjoying Mac OS X Tiger. The Weather and the Bloglines Notifier Dashboard widgets are probably the most useful to me.

The makers of City of Heroes have released Issue 4. This patch brings arena-style player-versus-player action to the game. I played one round and really enjoyed it, and hope to spend more time in the game in the near future.

That’s all for now.
