This past weekend ended the first ever Indianapolis Fringe Theatre Festival.
For those of you who don’t know anything about fringe theatre, it is essentially comprised of unjuried theatre festivals that happen all over the globe. A lot of the performances tend to be on the short side, with people going from one performance to the other.
I was able to see the following performances.
- The Jockey Short - Not sure about this one. I felt it was a little racist, especially since none of the black people in the audience were enjoying it.
- Two Mufakas, Some Sex, and a Crab - This one had three (or maybe four) separate acts to it, with the first one (or two) being very, very good.
- Mr Spacky: The Man Who is Continuously Chased by Wolves - Of the three, this one was pretty good all the way through, and they even let the audience pick the ending.
I look forward to next year’s festival, which will hopefully be much bigger.
