I ran my picture through some face recognition software and found that I look 67 percent like Sean Connery.
Jealous?

I bought a new pair of shoes today at the Nordstrom in Circle Centre Mall. I have to say that I like buying shoes from men in suits. Anyway, I purchased some black shoe polish with the new kicks and cleaned up two old pairs. They look so good now! Wow and stuff!
I had a really good weekend.
My friend Matt (pictured below) from Davenport, Iowa, came to visit and we had a very good time out and about in the city.

After Matt arrived Friday night, we headed over to McNiven’s on Massachusetts Avenue. Unfortunately, the place was a bit packed and the receptionist said it would be at least 30 minutes before we could have a table. Well, “fuck that,” I thought, so we went over to Bazbeaux’s across the street and had a delicious pepperoni and sausage pizza. Yum! We did end up back at McNiven’s for some drinks, afterwards, and then came back home.
On Saturday, we started out at Thai Spice in Greenwood since Matt had never eaten Thai food. He ended up enjoying it, too. After eating, we went downtown and bummed around for a few hours. We walked around some of the interesting parts of downtown and checked out a good part of White River State Park. Wow! There was so much there I hadn’t seen — and I live here.
Matt also had never eaten good sushi. He told me that he tried it once in Davenport and hated it, but he maintained an open mind while here. We had a wonderful dinner at the sushi bar at Sakura on Keystone Avenue. We both ordered box dinners, but with plenty of nigiri and maki.
After dinner, we were planning to go out with Tony and Jason, but everyone seemed tired so we just decided to watch movies upstairs until we went to sleep.
Sunday was nothing more than breakfast and goodbyes. Oh, I love biscuits and gravy! Sop it up!
I had a good time with Matt and hope he comes again sometime soon.
My sister Lisa and her husband Jim bought me a gift certificate to Amazon. Excellent! All of the stuff I bought arrived today, which makes me a happy boy.
Books
DVDs
I haven’t really read or watched anything yet, but I will probably do so this weekend.

I need to document a few things that have happened and are happening here soon.
God, I’m awful at keeping up with this blog, lately. I think a lot of the problem is that I’m not at all comfortable blogging at work. I hate people looking at my screen, so I just don’t do it. And when I get home I’m often not motivated to type anything (or do a lot of things I should). I’ll have to work on that problem.
My birthday was this past Sunday on the 8th. I’m now a whopping 29 years old, which reminds me that I need to update my age in the right column of this blog layout. I’ll get to it eventually. Anyway, festivies started Saturday night with me and the roommates hitting Thai Spice in the Greenwood area. While getting ready, I decided to shave off the chin pubes, with the afttermath shown below.

I kept the soul patch, initially, as seen above, but removed it at the suggestion of a friend. I find it a bit strange to see my chin again; it certainly feels naked, to be honest, but I’m going to go ahead and grow back the goatee. It’ll take a copule of weeks, but I’ll have it before I know it.
Okay, so, yeah, we had thai food for dinner and came back home. We partook in a certain something-something and then proceeded to watch some movies: a recorded version of Tony’s play, Catch, as performed by a gay theatre troupe in Sacramento, California, followed by Napoleon Dynamite and Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion, to cap off the evening. Laughed a lot.
On Sunday, on my actual birthday, I met up with my family for lunch. We gathered down in Edinburgh, Indiana, so that my sister Lisa could join us. It is half way between Indianapolis and Louisville, making it convenient for everyone. After eating, we did a slight bit of shopping at the outlet mall right there and then came home.
I spent most of the rest of my birthday in my bedroom. And I liked it.
So, next year is the big three-oh and I can’t fucking wait. <sarcasm>
Some bastard stole the temporary license plate off my Scion sometime in the last couple of days. I noticed it was missing when I was on my way to lunch today.
So, I was in my car and sent off a query to Google SMS on my phone to get the number of the dealership. I called them up and they were able to immediately replace it, thankfully. Whew!
I have no better way to ring in the New Year than post a meme.
Enjoy.
