I need to document a few things that have happened and are happening here soon.
- My friend Auri invited me to dinner Friday night. We ate at Brugge Brasserie in Broad Ripple, which is a restaurant owned by Abe Benrubi. He’s from here in Indianapolis, you know, so, of course, he’s going to open a Belgian-style eatery in a trendy part of town. We ate pomme frites and mussels, and I had a nice glass of Kiona Riesling, too.
- I went to Wasabi on 82nd Street with my roommate, Tony, this past Saturday. Sushi is such Good Times™ for me, but I couldn’t deal with the salmon roe. I gagged while trying to eat it. Sorry, but it just didn’t work out.
- I recently watched Me and You and Everyone We Know with my roommates. Everyone liked it. It was a bit quirky at the beginning, but turned out to be a really excellent film, worthy of DVD ownership.
- I have a new boss at work and so far things are good. We haven’t had much of a manager for the last 10 months, so I think we’re going to be much more organized. It’s certainly done wonders for my attitude, lately.
- My friend Matt B. is coming from Davenport, Iowa, this weekend to visit. I’m looking forward to spending time with him.
