To New York, I Go

I’m heading off to New York this afternoon, and will be attending the HOPE conference.

I’m also meeting up with Devin, Pete, Dave, and (possibly) Bryan. My friend other friend Bryan from Philadelphia is planning to come up on Friday to hang out, which should be a lot of fun.

I won’t be returning until Monday and then it is back to work on Tuesday. I’ll try to do a few minor updates between then and now.

Guilty Gay Pleasures

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Project Runway is the gayest thing on television. This includes all the hardcore gay porn you can get in any hotel room in San Francisco.

I think I should make a category called Guilty Pleasures on this blog just for this kind of thing. (Nah, maybe later?)

Anyway, in other homo news, I’m obsessed with that song Homosapien by Pete Shelley, who was/is the lead singer of the Buzzcocks.

Breast Feeding

Tonight I was at Shalimar (which has become my favorite Indian restaurant; sorry India Garden) eating my dinner, and after I ate my appetizer this straight couple with a baby boy came in and sat diagonal from me.

The baby was adorable, blah, blah, blah, but getting grumpy. So, the mother takes the baby and proceeds to breast feed him right there at the table. I couldn’t help but notice it, being that she was all of five feel from me. Thankfully, she used a cloth napkin to cover everything, though I could have probably seen more if I had tried.

Meanwhile, the father stares me down, as if to dare me to look. You know me! Nothing gets me hot and bothered more than a baby sucking milk out of a woman’s titty.

The whole thing was a bit weird, so I’m glad it ended and I was able to finish my chicken korma.

It would seem that they are building a deck on the roof of the building at work.

4th of July

I had a fairly good July 4th with my family. I went over to my parents’ house in the late afternoon and had some dinner, followed by some fireworks in the yard.

I don’t remember there being so many fireworks in the past that shot stuff up in the air.

Anyway, afterwards, I took my nephews to see the fireworks show downtown, which are shot off from on top of One Indiana Square. We ended up getting a spot right on Monument Circle, which was pretty nice. I think we all really enjoyed it.

A Weekend Alone

Tony and Jason are out of town this weekend, so I have the place all to myself for a couple of days.

After having only had a few hours of sleep Friday morning, I was woken up by our offshore monitoring people to deal with a server issue. I couldn’t get back to sleep afterwards, so I went in to work early, which freaked out a bunch of people.

I left work early, too, and came home to take a nice six hour nap. Since it was so late, I just stayed in bed, watched television, and went back to sleep, only to wake up a few hours ago, with the most energy I’ve had all week. I need to get more sleep on a regular basis, for sure.

I think I’m going to hop in the shower and go get breakfast. I’m specifically craving biscuits and gravy. Mmm. My favorite.
