A Weekend Alone

July 1, 2006 | In: Personal

Tony and Jason are out of town this weekend, so I have the place all to myself for a couple of days.

After having only had a few hours of sleep Friday morning, I was woken up by our offshore monitoring people to deal with a server issue. I couldn’t get back to sleep afterwards, so I went in to work early, which freaked out a bunch of people.

I left work early, too, and came home to take a nice six hour nap. Since it was so late, I just stayed in bed, watched television, and went back to sleep, only to wake up a few hours ago, with the most energy I’ve had all week. I need to get more sleep on a regular basis, for sure.

I think I’m going to hop in the shower and go get breakfast. I’m specifically craving biscuits and gravy. Mmm. My favorite.

the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had were at a place in Iowa called Gramma’s Kitchen, right off the interstate, across the exit from the “World’s Largest Truck Stop”.

I’ve been tempted to drive all the way to Iowa just to get those.
