Recent Happenings

CharlieRecently, I’ve been taking care of a new cat named Charlie (pictured right).  He was a stray that was hanging out at my parents house recently, so I decided to take him home and sort him out.

As it turns out, he belonged to one of the neighbors, but they kept him outside all of the time, which is definitely not healthy for cats, so it was no shock when I took him to the vet to learn that he had a parasite.  Thankfully, the treatment was extremely easy and now Charlie is a healthy boy.

In work-related news, I took a trip up to Detroit to attend a one-day conference put on by one of our vendors.  They invited me up there to do a 90 minute presentation about what we do at work, how we use the vendor’s product, and how to use the vendor’s online self-service tools.  Overall, everything went very well, and it was a lot of fun.

Lastly, last month I went to go see Shiny Toy Guns at the Music Mill up on the north side.  It was my first time at the venue — very nice.  The show was great; they played all the songs I loved, including some new ones on their recent album.

That’s all for now, folks!

Added Last.fm, Again

I’ve decided to join Last.fm, again. Sometime last year I got tired of it and deleted my account, but added it back recently. I’m happy with the fact that they support my new iPhone. Yay!

Music to Share: Recent British Favorites

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any music on here.

Cut Copy – Lights & Music

This is the first single released from Cut Copy’s new album: In Ghost Colours.

Bat For Lashes – What’s A Girl To Do

The bunny masks and bicycles remind me a bit of Donnie Darko.

Goldfrapp – Happiness

This is the second single off of Goldfrapp’s recent album: Seventh Tree. This might very well be my favorite track on the whole album, but I’m not sure yet.

Hot Chip – Ready For The Floor

This is off Hot Chip’s recent album: Made In The Dark.

Beatles in Indianapolis (1964)

In keeping with the British theme, I present to you parts one and two of the Beatles performing here in Indianapolis back in 1964.

They Might Be Giants

This past week I went with Andy, Laura, and Megas to see They Might Be Giants in Bloomington.

They Might Be Giants - John Flansburgh

Good times!

Freezepop Tomorrow

Going to go see Freezepop at Radio Radio tomorrow. Looking forward to it!
