Paid off feels GOOD. I finally closed out my car loan (then immediately sold my car) this past month. No more car payment! (Or car insurance, or parking payment, or gas….)

We had a good turn out that year. This years turn out was good too. It is nice to get together with family (known & Unknown) to celebrate the family we have and remember our family’s loved ones who can no longer be there with us. Hope to see you there in 2009.

Dude, glad to see you writing again. Well, the social media popularity is a double edge sword. Sure, no one should really pour their soul into this public forum call the Interweb. But what’s the point of writing if you have to hold back. It sucks when employer might use that against you during job searching. So I applaud your writing, and I too have been a fan. On the issue of time, isn’t balancing load your expertise? :) Keep up the good work.

I approve. Looks much nicer than my new template modifications for Spam Resource. I always end up taking some template and custom hacking it, and I’m never quite happy with the results. I had some fun today, though, digging through Spam Resource in the Internet Wayback machine and copying a few old posts from 2001-2004 over to the current version of the blog. Yay, rants about ex-employers from 2001!

My brother has it in Castleton. From what I’ve seen it is neat. They seem to run everything over IP, including the television stream. HD channels look good and there is a lot of Internet bandwidth. The menus are fast and easy to navigate. I’d like to see it side by side with my DirecTV and see which if either one has a better picture.

I have heard that you can only watch one HD channel at a time per household, even if you have two TVs. Might be a limitation since they are streaming your TV over IP from the head end rather than broadcasting like cable does.

I’m contemplating making the exact same switch for a few of my domains. The only issue I’ve encountered so far is that Outlook XP 2002 has a problem sending files using Gmails SMTP server. Haven’t tried it on 2003 yet, but I may be making the switch this weekend. Hope it works out!

I’m pretty happy with it. I moved spamresource.com over to Google Apps sometime around a year ago.

I just used fetchmail and a shell script to transfer my old mail, suck it down with pop3, re-mail it over to the new account.

It was great to see you too, Matt! As for Vegas, it is certainly not for everyone. As a resident, the only thing I really like seeing on the Strip is the fountain show at the Bellagio. However, if I had tickets to see my favorite bands, I’d brave the traffic on the Strip to see them. Oh, and I’d go back to Pampas restaurant too (Brazilian). That’s about it. But I do hope that if you come back you have time for a few things OFF the Strip- there’s a whole ‘nother Vegas out there!

I just did a Southwest flight to Chicago and felt the same way. On the way there it was cool, we booked early and got our boarding passes online and were one of the first on the flight. So we got good seats with legroom. On the way back, though, we were last to board and I had to find a seat with a little person in it so my big butt wouldn’t inconvenience anyone. I don’t think it made any difference.
